Finding Your #FPRAbalance: A Little PR-spective

In an industry filled with driven professionals working with 24-hours news, it can be hard to strike a good work-life balance. FPRA State President Ryan Gerds, APR, CPRC, will share how he proactively works to find his #FPRAbalance, and a panel of local PR pros will share their experiences trying to maintain PR-spective through it all.

A note about chapter business: Click here to see the proposed 2018-2019 chapter board slate announced at the June 21 meeting. During this meeting, Capital Chapter members may make nominations from the floor. After the call for nominations, members present will vote on the slate. Those elected will be installed during the August meeting.

About the Speaker

Ryan Gerds, APR, CPRC

A member of the Gainesville Chapter of FPRA, Gerds is director of marketing at Captozyme, a Gainesville company that develops food-enhancing enzymes to promote healthy living. He leads the company’s marketing, advertising and public relations efforts. Gerds earned his undergraduate degree in exercise and sports science from the University of Florida and an MBA from Saint Leo University. He has been a part of FPRA since 2005, serving as the president of the Ocala chapter in 2009-10 and is the current president of the state association.
