The Florida Public Relations Association’s Capital Chapter hosts ER for PR every year, typically in September. It’s an opportunity for nonprofits without full-time public relations staff to receive 90 minutes of counseling free of charge. The event includes a 30-minute education session for nonprofits followed by a 90-minute counseling session with a medic.

Stay tuned for information about the 2025 ER for PR event!

Application for Nonprofits

Hosted by the Florida Public Relations Association Capital Chapter, ER for PR provides local nonprofits with complimentary public relations training and one-on-one counseling sessions with PR professionals. Organizations are selected based on request type and availability of expert consultants. ER for PR is free of charge for nonprofits selected. There will be a maximum of 10 nonprofits accepted for this event, so please apply early.

Selected organizations will receive a complimentary 90-minute counseling session with a public relations professional at ER for PR. No written plan of action will be provided by FPRA as a result of the counseling session; however, organizations will receive a free toolkit with helpful tips on writing press releases, determining media sources and general public relations information.

Applications for the 2025 ER for PR event will be available by August 2025.
