From the President: Building Bridges, Strengthening the Village
As we enter November, a month of gratitude and remembrance, I want to reflect on the recent events that have kicked off our chapter year. Our annual ER for PR event and October Member Socials were wonderful opportunities to connect, share, and support our community. Thank you to everyone who joined in—your support and enthusiasm truly embody our theme, Building Bridges, Strengthening the Village. I look forward to the upcoming opportunities we’ll have to connect, grow, and make an impact together.
For those who have yet to renew your membership, now is the time. We’re pleased to announce that our state has transitioned to the Glue Up platform, designed to enhance your experience. In light of the disruptions caused by Hurricane Helene, the renewal deadline has been extended to November 15, giving everyone a little extra time to reconnect with our chapter and recommit to our mission.
As we celebrate Veterans Day, I want to give special recognition to our PR and communications professionals who are veterans of the U.S. Armed Services. Your continued service to our profession and community reflects dedication, resilience, and leadership—qualities we are grateful for as we work to build a stronger chapter together.
And as Thanksgiving approaches, we express our gratitude for each of you, especially those who demonstrated tireless dedication during Hurricane Helene. Your resilience and commitment to keeping our communities informed and safe during and after the storm make a powerful impact. We hold those affected by the hurricane close in our thoughts, and together, we will continue to support one another in the recovery process.
Let’s move forward with a commitment to Empower, Expand, and Elevate each other and our profession. Thank you for being part of our village and may this season of gratitude bring warmth and inspiration to you all.
Warm regards,
Valencia L. Scott
