Student and Alumni Engagement Coordinator

Description

Strategically plans and executes College of Social Work (CSW) events including but not limited to receptions, seminars, meetings, conferences, lectures, symposia, outreach programs, Arts and Athletic Camp, and fundraising events. Determines and oversees events arrangement. Directs logistics such as timeline, budget, marketing, staffing for events and speaker.
Establishes and maintains relationships with external audiences and constituencies. Establishes and manages contractual agreements with clients and vendors. Promotes membership and sponsorship.
Responsible for the design, coordination, and execution of all activities related to the Student Engagement Program in the College of Social Work.
Works with Development Director and monitors student and alumni participation in events using a variety of metrics such as giving totals and event attendance.

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule
Position is primarily Monday – Friday from 8:00am – 5:00pm, but may require some nights, weekends, and occasional travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Ability to plan and execute event planning.

Preferred:
Experience with event management.
Experience in higher education.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of various software.
