The Marketing Designer position serves as a key staff member for the Office of Supplier Diversity (OSD). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team that is focused on improving opportunities for women-, minority-, or veteran-owned businesses attempting to provide services for the State of Florida. This position develops marketing materials for regional supplier diversity exchanges and graphics/layout for OSD’s outreach efforts, annual report, and numerous other office initiatives. This position also serves as the supplier diversity exchange coordinator, planning most aspects of each event while supporting the growth and development of small businesses in the state.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design and develop all Office of Supplier Diversity marketing materials, annual reports, graphics/charts, and infographics.
• Assist in the administration and maintenance of the Office of Supplier Diversity sections of the agency’s public and intranet websites as directed by the Executive Director.
• Assist in the maintenance of the Office of Supplier Diversity’s social media presence, including generating, researching, creating and updating target market lists, and tracking social media in coordination with the Office of Communications.
• Develop and maintain media lists and social media groups for event promotion.
• Assist in the development, planning, coordination and execution of the Office of Supplier Diversity’s regional Supplier Diversity Exchanges. Assist in post event evaluations to determine lessons learned and best practices for future campaigns.
• Develop training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials.
• Assist with Office of Supplier Diversity public relations campaigns as directed by the Executive Director.
• Respond to vendor requests and questions regarding OSD events and materials.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of experience designing marketing materials, graphics, charts, or infographics.
• Two years of experience managing or supporting marketing campaigns, including social media marketing.
• Two years of experience with graphic design, layout, and print production.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with design software, such as Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Experience with public speaking.
• A degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
