What’s Your “Fake News” IQ? How to Discern the Truth.
- Location: Four Points by Sheraton Tallahassee Downtown
- Address: 316 W Tennessee St
- RSVP Deadline: June 19, 2018
In the era of “fake news,” it’s becoming increasingly difficult for consumers — and even those of us in the information business — to tell what’s real from what isn’t. The Capital Chapter of FPRA is proud to host veteran communicator Ron Sachs for a presentation on news literacy, with tips on how to help stop the spread of fake news among ourselves, family, clients, and organizations.
Sachs, founder and CEO of Sachs Media Group, served on the board of the PR Council, a national organization of the professional public relations industry. The PR Council is partnering with The News Literacy Project this month for a nationwide social media Day of Action promoting the importance of real information over fake news.
Please RSVP by June 19 for the following rates:
Member – $25
Non-Member – $45
Student – $20.50
Members who RSVP after June 19 will be charged $35.
