As public relations professionals, our role as storytellers today takes place in multiple channels through a variety of tools. With a crowded and noisy marketplace, we need strong, strategic content to reach and influence our audience.

Join us for an FPRA Capital Chapter breakfast meeting on September 15 for a panel discussion with leading professionals in consumer and content marketing, including veteran news editors and reporters who now apply their journalistic skills to create and shape rich content. Rochelle Koff is a freelance writer whose work appears in Tallahassee Magazine, 850 Magazine, the Tallahassee Democrat and The Miami Herald. She also is co-owner of Tallahassee Table, a website devoted to local food and dining. Previously, she was an editor for The Miami Herald, and most recently as a legislative reporter in The Miami Herald/Tampa Bay Times Capitol Bureau. She was the Herald’s restaurant critic for more than 20 years, and a contributor to Zagat’s dining guides for eight years. Before that, she was a feature writer at the South Florida Sun Sentinel.

Dr. Tait Martin is the Chief Research Officer and a Managing Partner of The Taproot Agency. A winner of some of the industry’s most prestigious awards (including the Emmy® and PRSA Silver Anvil®), Tait uses a scientific approach to develop content and creative campaigns that move people to action. He holds a Ph.D. in Communication Theory and Research (emphasis in persuasion and cognitive information processing) from Florida State University, as well as master’s degrees in Organizational and Interpersonal Communication from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

Phillip Ward is the Deputy Editor for VISIT FLORIDA, the state’s official destination marketing organization. He edits articles, videos, and slideshows, helps to manage VISITFLORIDA.com and leads the organization’s first social media influencers program. Previously, he was a writer, editor and Deputy Managing Editor for the South Florida Sun Sentinel. Before that, he was a writer and editor at The Miami Herald and the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal. He works with his wife, Rochelle Koff, on their website, Tallahassee Table.
