The Capital Chapter is excited to welcome Dontaye Carter, Founder & CEO of Carter Media Group headquartered in Atlanta. His firm offers Public Relations Consulting, Media Relations, Digital Marketing Strategy, and Crisis Management. He is currently providing public relations counsel to attorneys representing families affected by the R. Kelly controversy. Carter will share his experiences working on high-stakes issues with national media and dealing with sensitive cases. Carter will also meet with students and young professionals to network and provide guidance on starting a communications firm.
Carter graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from FAMU. Carter worked for 10 years in television news as an Executive Producer, Anchor and Reporter across the Southeast and Midwest. He worked in Atlanta at CBS46 and 11Alive, in Tulsa, OK at FOX23, and in Tallahassee at WCTV.
