Join us via Zoom on Friday, May 30, for our 2025 Meet the Press: The Media Mixer — From Storytelling to Story Selling, moderated by Angela Green-Sherrod. The panel will feature prominent Florida journalists from WCTV, WTXL, WFSU and the Tallahassee Democrat. Panelists will discuss how public relations and communications teams can best connect with the media, how media pitching and the media landscape have evolved, how news outlets prioritize and determine desirable coverage, and the importance of building genuine relationships and trust between PR professionals and journalists.

Angela Green-Sherrod
Public Engagement and Communications Director, HNTB

Angela Green-Sherrod is the Public Engagement and Communications Director at HNTB, bringing more than 20 years of experience across newsrooms and government agencies. She’s worn many hats — news anchor, reporter, investigative producer, news director, and public information officer — and held leadership roles across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and North Carolina. Angela has served as spokesperson for elected officials, public agencies, and full boards of directors, often helping reporters shape their pitch ideas and working behind the scenes to secure leadership buy-in for interviews and access. Today, she leads strategic communication and public engagement efforts for major transportation projects across Florida. With experience on both sides of the microphone, she’s passionate about building trust, connecting communities, and helping stories land — with the public and with leadership.
