Apply for 2026 Professional Development Scholarships and Grants

The FPRA Capital Chapter exists to support, connect, and elevate public relations, communications, and marketing professionals across our region. The 2026 Scholarship & Grant Program is a direct reflection of that commitment, reinvesting in our members and future members by expanding access to professional development, recognition, and meaningful engagement.

General Eligibility 

All applicants must:

  • Complete the official application 
  • Not have received an FPRA scholarship or grant within the past 12 months 
  • Not be a current board or scholarship committee member, or an immediate family member 
  • Agree to provide a brief testimonial following the use of funds 

How Funding Works 

All scholarships and grants are on a reimbursement basis, ensuring funds are reinvested responsibly and directly into professional growth opportunities. The FPRA Capital Chapter Scholarship & Grant Program Committee will notify selected applicants by June 30, 2026, who will pay for eligible expenses upfront, submit itemized receipts with proof of payment, and receive reimbursement by the stated deadline.  

Available Grants

PR & Comms Summit Grant – $1,000

Supports attendance at the 2026 PR & Comms Summit for a professional member or student without access to employer-funded development. This grant is reserved for in-house professionals and student members. Agency professionals are not eligible.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Work in communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
  • Live or work in Leon, Jefferson, Gadsden, or Wakulla County (FL), or Grady, Thomas, or Decatur County (GA)
  • Demonstrate financial need or lack of employer funding
  • Submit a 1-page statement outlining the professional impact and future Chapter engagement that this opportunity would bring.

Key Deadlines

  • Application Deadline: May 30, 2026
  • Reimbursement Deadline: August 15, 2026

Membership Grant – Up to $310

Provides a one-year FPRA Capital Chapter membership to professionals who would benefit from networking and development opportunities but may not have financial access.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a non-member at the time of application
  • Work in nonprofit, higher education, or government (local, state, or federal)
  • Live or work in Leon, Jefferson, Gadsden, or Wakulla County (FL), or Grady, Thomas, or Decatur County (GA)
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Submit a short essay outlining professional goals and planned Chapter engagement

Key Deadlines

  • Application Deadline: May 30, 2026
  • Reimbursement Deadline: July 31, 2026

Golden Image Awards Grant – $140

Supports entry into the 2026 FPRA Golden Image Awards, recognizing excellence in public relations, communications, and marketing.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Current FPRA Capital Chapter professional or student member
  • Work in government, nonprofit, education, or association sectors
  • Submit a 1-page statement aligning the entry with professional and organizational goals

  • Reimbursement Deadline: July 31, 2026
