Step Into Leadership: 2026–2027 Board Interest

Ready to grow, lead, and give back?

The FPRA Capital Chapter is now accepting interest forms for board and committee roles for the 2026–2027 term. This is a meaningful opportunity to expand your leadership skills, strengthen your professional network, and play an active role in shaping the future of our chapter and our profession.

Through board service, members contribute to impactful programming, support professional development, and help cultivate a strong, connected PR and communications community right here in the Capital City.

Why Consider Board Service?

Serving on the FPRA Capital Chapter Board offers the chance to:

  • Grow as a leader in a supportive, collaborative environment
  • Build meaningful relationships with fellow communications professionals
  • Contribute to high-quality programming and valuable member experiences
  • Strengthen the visibility and impact of the public relations profession locally

Whether you are a newer member looking to get more involved or a seasoned professional ready to give back, there is a place for you to serve.

A Note from the Immediate Past President

“Serving this chapter has been one of the most rewarding parts of my professional journey. It will grow you, stretch you, and connect you in ways you don’t expect. If leadership has been on your mind, I encourage you to take that step.” — Valencia L. Scott, Immediate Past President

Submit Your Interest

If you’re ready to take the next step, we invite you to complete the Board Interest Survey. Submitting the survey does not commit you to a position. It initiates the process for discussions and next steps, and you’ll have the opportunity to learn more and discuss the role before making any decisions.

Deadline: April 30
