Member Highlight: Meet Kianna Gilley
Kianna’s PR Journey
Why did you join FPRA Capital Chapter?
I joined FPRA to connect with other industry professionals and gain expertise in the communications field. Being part of this network allows me to exchange ideas, stay on top of industry trends, and refine my skills alongside some of the best in the business.
What do you enjoy most about being involved as a member?
The connections I’ve made through FPRA are truly invaluable. I’ve had the chance to work with so many members, so every time I attend an FPRA event, it almost feels like a family reunion.
What PR or marketing project are you most proud of?
I’m most proud of the work our County team accomplishes every day—they’re a powerhouse! Recently, we completed a yearlong bicentennial campaign with efforts from multiple County departments, like Parks and Libraries. Another highlight was the dedication of the Leon County Courthouse in honor of Judge Augustus D. Aikens, Jr., which brought together tons of members of the judicial community for this historic event.
What is your favorite hobby or something unique about you that FPRA members may not know?
I love cooking! Thanks to the power of social media, I’ve been able to challenge myself with new recipes. I also love curating playlists. My music taste is all over the place, from classic country to ‘90s R&B. If you ever need the perfect playlist for any occasion, I’ve got you covered!
