FPRA Capital Chapter Announces 2023 Local Image Award Winners

Every spring, the FPRA Capital Chapter hosts the Local Image Awards Ceremony to recognize Tallahassee’s outstanding PR practitioners for their creative and effective work in the field of public relations. This year’s event was held April 27, 2023 at Parkview at Cascades.

2023 PR Intern of the Year Award

During the event, the Capital Chapter announced its 2023 PR Intern of the Year Award nominees and recipient. This award seeks to recognize a student or recent graduate who demonstrated exceptional performance, professional growth, and a dedication to improving their marketing and communications skills throughout their internship.

2023 Local Image Award Winners

We received 29 Local Image Award entries this year. Entries were judged by a panel of APR-certified public relations professionals from other chapters and evaluated on criteria including goals and objectives, implementation, and overall effectiveness.

The Image Awards competition is divided into four divisions:

Division A, Public Relations Programs
Division B, Collateral of Public Relations
Division C, Digital Tools of Public Relations
Division D, Student Projects in Public Relations

Each entry is evaluated by three judges, and, if deemed worthy, can earn the following awards:

  • Grand All Image Award: Presented to the best Image Award-winning entry in Division A.
  • Grand Image Award: May be presented to the best Image Award-winning entry in Divisions B and C.
  • Image Award: May be presented to the top-scoring entry in each category if the entry rises to a level of excellence set by the judges.
  • Award of Distinction: May be presented to entries that meet a criteria of excellence set by the judges.
  • Judges’ Award: May be presented by judges to entries that achieve outstanding return on investment.

Congratulations to all the winners!

Everyone who submitted an entry will receive feedback from the judging panel via email. Please review the feedback, polish your entry, and resubmit it for the Golden Image Awards. Golden Image Award entries are already being accepted online. The early bird deadline to submit is May 9, and the final entry deadline is May 15.

The winners of the Golden Image Awards will be announced during a gala at FPRA’s Annual Conference this August in Orlando. If you are interested in attending this year’s conference at the Waldorf Astoria August 6-9, conference registration currently is open.
