2021 Capital Chapter Image Award Winners
Every spring, our chapter recognizes Tallahassee’s most outstanding PR practitioners for their creative and effective work in the field of public relations.
While we couldn’t celebrate in person this year, Capital Chapter President Drew Piers, APR, and President-Elect Zoe Linafelt hosted a virtual, travel-themed Image Awards ceremony. Director of Awards & Recognition Valencia Scott led the Image Awards coordination effort from beginning to end, and even personally delivered gift boxes to each organization that entered in the Image Awards.
We received 20 entries this year, and each entry was judged by a panel of APR-certified public relations professionals from the Tampa Bay and Polk Chapters and evaluated on criteria including goals and objectives, implementation and overall effectiveness.
The Image Award competition is divided into four divisions:
- Division A – Public Relations Programs
- Division B – Collateral Tools of Public Relations
- Division C – Digital Tools of Public Relations
- Division D – Student Projects in Public Relations
Each entry is evaluated by three judges, and, if deemed worthy, can earn the following awards:
- An IMAGE AWARD is presented to the top-scoring entry in each category.
- An AWARD OF DISTINCTION is given to entries that meet a standard of excellence, which is set by the panel of judges.
- A JUDGES’ AWARD is presented to outstanding entries that achieved maximum results while remaining cost-effective.
- Finally, the judges may choose to give one GRAND award to the top entries in each division.
