What project are you most proud of?

I’m proud to have been part of a successful legislative campaign for the Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA), handling both internal and external communications. FRA’s “Redevelopment Works” campaign raised awareness about the importance of Florida’s community redevelopment agencies (CRAs), which were being threatened by bills under consideration during the 2018 legislative session. Ultimately, the bills were not passed into law.

What is one piece of advice you would give others entering the field?

Be prepared to continuously learn. FPRA is a great way to stay educated.

What do you think is the biggest challenge PR professionals will face going forward?

Adapting to the rapidly changing digital world. It seems as if there is a new social media news feed algorithm every month. Staying ahead of the curve is an exciting challenge that requires constant research and strategy reassessment.

What would your colleagues be surprised to know about you?

I’m a huge fan of horror movies/TV shows – especially Stephen King adaptations.

How has a mentor influenced your career?

I’m fortunate to have many mentors who have helped me widen my skillset by providing a variety of perspectives and advice.

Why did you join FPRA?

I joined FPRA to meet other PR professionals and stay up-to-date on the ever-changing PR world.
