FPRA June Workshop: How to Practice PR Without Losing Your Soul

A Fast-Paced, Entertaining and Eye-Opening Workshop on Ethics

Is it possible to be ethical and work in public relations? Join the FPRA Capital Chapter for an exciting, interactive workshop on ethical decision-making that will make the most seasoned public relations practitioners pause to consider the real-world scenarios presented.

Dick Martin led public relations for AT&T during one of the most tumultuous periods in its history. The company was reeling from competition in its core market, trying to break into wireless and broadband communications. While this was going on, a major competitor cooked its books, sending industry revenue into a tailspin. To make matters worse, its board failed to find a qualified successor for the company CEO.

Martin has authored five books on public relations. His latest, co-authored with Donald K. Wright, is Public Relations Ethics: How to Practice PR Without Losing Your Soul. He has facilitated highly popular workshops for Syracuse University, Georgetown University and Rutgers University. Martin was one of the first recipients of the Arthur W. Page Center’s Award for Integrity in Public Communication.

Join us on Thursday, June 15 at the Aloft Hotel. Breakfast and networking begin at 7:30 a.m. The workshop is from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. A few lucky practitioners will leave with a free copy of Martin’s book!
