Description: The primary responsibility of this position is to create copy from conception to completion for existing clients’ print and online media by performing the following duties.
Duties:

  • Negotiates changes, corrects and revises copy until approved.
  • Tracks/notes above reviews in Filemaker (Communication’s database)
  • Develops new copy as needed for varied pieces.
  • Proofread/review produced materials as Communication Team member.
  • Assigns/reviews writing assignments to other copywriters.
  • Keeps FileMaker database updated (Clients Names/Contacts, Provider Names/Contact, Case Product Log for assigned cases).
  • Works with Compliance Department to ensure materials reflect the most current regulatory changes and IRS rules.
  • Per case, prepares and sends edited copy on established reviews: 1- Internal: Enrollment, Business Analyst, etc. 2- Client: Account Manager, client contact, union rep 3- Providers: Varied per case.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Experience:
Four year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word Processing software, Adobe InDesign design software, MacIntosh,
