Volunteer Florida, the lead agency for volunteerism and national service in Florida, seeks a Communications and Marketing Coordinator to serve in the agency’s External Affairs department.

Position Summary

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will support Volunteer Florida’s mission by helping to implement the agency’s overall communications strategy and departmental communications efforts. This position will also support Cabinet Affairs, media relations, and legislative affairs as needed.


Desired Skills and Experience

• Bachelor degree in Communications, Public Relations, Speech, English, Journalism or other related field
• Exceptional verbal and written communications skills
• Two years of experience with public relations activities, including promotional campaigns, government affairs, public speaking, special events, publications, advertising, or media. This position will manage Volunteer Florida’s social media presence and on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and other social channels and should have an established social media presence
• Writing sample required
