Farmers, Trolls and Poison Worms: Safeguarding Reputation Against AI Evildoers

We’ve all seen the webinars and blog posts warning of the dangers artificial intelligence poses for our organizations and clients. But risks, like inadvertently infringing copyrights, exposing sensitive business information, and reinforcing harmful social biases, are just the tip of the iceberg.

There’s a whole other side of AI communicators—a dark and treacherous side—where opportunistic schemers, scammers, conspiracy theorists, and even foreign governments are using large language models and other AI tools to spread disinformation and hate, sow political and social discord and destroy reputations and brands. Learn about the dangers of “malicious AI” and what you need to know to protect your business, reputation, and relationships, and those of your clients, from harm.

Attendees Will:

  • Hear about the latest malicious AI schemes from reputation risk expert and online shenanigan chronicler Jon Goldberg, including how shady actors rake in boatloads of cash by pumping out fake, AI-generated articles, press releases—even obituaries—about people and brands without their knowledge.
  • Learn to detect the warning signals of malicious AI and what *not* to do when you encounter them.
  • Pick up best practices for counseling your organization or clients about the dangers of malicious AI and proactive measures to help inoculate against harm.
