Senior Graphic Designer

SalterMitchell PR is seeking an experienced senior graphic designer to join our team in Tallahassee, Florida.

Required Skills

• Intermediate understanding of typography, color, layout and tools used in graphic design
• Ability to articulate and understand visual ideas and outlines provided by others
• Intermediate understanding of design fundamentals & principals and the balance of function and aesthetic
• Ability to understand each client’s business and creative needs
  ‍

Physical requirements: 

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  ‍

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties include: 

• Produce attractive and effective design from imagination and/or as outlined by others
• Offer input and share ideas during creative meetings
• Provide support to team members throughout execution of projects
• As needed, participate in vision and strategy meetings with clients and PR and marketing leads
  ‍

Additional Requirements

• Ability to clearly communicate with team members and discuss feedback and guidance
• Handle multiple clients and deadlines
• Motivation to maintain and improve design standards
• Comfortable in bringing new ideas to the firm
• Attentive and organized
  ‍

Education & Experience

• 3-4 years of experience from an entry-level design position in marketing, public relations, communication, or related field; previous agency experience is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in a creative field preferred
