Student Open House Week
In its inaugural year, the FPRA Capital Chapter and its members are opening their doors for their first-ever Student Open House. The four-day event is open to FPRA and PRSSA students and invites them to meet Tallahassee organizations face to face. The goal of this event is to help students get an inside view of the various types of agencies and organizations that Tallahassee has to offer, and help Tallahassee companies and organizations share your knowledge and unique brands with students who may potentially be future interns and employees.
One-hour open house events may include panel discussions, presentations, Q&As with executive staff or even office tours. Students should wear business attire unless instructed otherwise and may wish to bring copies of their resumes.

The Commission performs a vital role in Florida’s criminal justice system by preserving the autonomy needed in post release decisions affecting inmates and ex-offenders. Every parole-eligible inmate has a constitutionally protected right to proper consideration for parole, and these proceedings must be conducted as required by law. This proceeding is often the first opportunity for a victim, or family member, of a victim to provide input in a non-adversarial venue. The Commissioners may also hear from law enforcement, state and private attorneys, as well as other interested parties. To learn more, visit fpc.state.fl.us.
