The Office of Supplier Diversity is seeking a Stakeholder Engagement Manager to help improve business opportunities for Florida-based woman-, veteran- and minority-owned small businesses. The selected candidate will serve as the primary liaison to the vendor community on behalf of the Executive Director of the Office of Supplier Diversity. Additional responsibilities include:

Conduct outreach to the small business community across the state and act as the liaison to the vendor community on behalf of the Office of Supplier Diversity. Educate and provide guidance related to the Office of Supplier Diversity’s programs, services, and activities to the vendor community. This also includes responding to vendor questions and requests for assistance on behalf of the Office.

Plan, develop, and facilitate training and educational opportunities with representatives of the vendor community in order to spread an in-depth understanding of our programs and services including but not limited to individual training, classroom training, demonstrations, meetings, conferences and workshops. Educate and provide recommendations to the vendor community regarding how to effectively engage in the state’s public procurement process. Encourage and facilitate vendor participation in the state’s business enterprise certification process.

Administer the state’s vendor Mentor/Protégé Program and the Loan Mobilization Program including the identification of program participants, the development and distribution of marketing and educational materials related to the program, and the organization of Mentor/Protégé facilitation and networking opportunities.


Minimum Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree or professional experience similar to the responsibilities outlined in this position can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required education.
Two years of experience speaking with and presenting to small and large groups.
Two years of customer service experience.
Two years of experience managing multiple deadlines and tasks.
One year of experience in state government contracting.
Experience organizing and hosting virtual meetings.
Ability to travel statewide is required.
