Description
Ability 1st, Center for Independent Living of North Florida is currently seeking a part-time Special Events Coordinator, with flexible work hours up to 20 hours per week. This position is responsible for ongoing duties that are connected to Agency annual special events, volunteer coordination, donor recognition and all aspects of media management. Specifically:
- Develop Events Management time/task schedule
- Provide guidance to and work with the Events Committee and Event Volunteers
- Initiate design of promotional materials to recruit sponsors and advertise the events
- Create/maintain social media posts, print media and other media/promotional information including agency website
- Coordinate event(s) venue, vendors, sponsors and volunteers
- Track Event(s) Committee member assignments and responsibilities
- Ensure sponsors/donors are recognized
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in Events Management/Volunteer Development
- Experience in a related field with basic knowledge of philanthropic giving and volunteer development will be considered
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products suite
