The Social Media Specialist position requires a strong knowledge and understanding of the digital media landscape, specifically social media platforms. The Social Media Specialist is responsible for content development, social media monitoring, and reporting and optimization of social media marketing campaigns.


  • Oversee the development of the Social Media Department, including managing junior content developers
  • Develop and execute social media strategy for clients and for the agency
  • Develop digital marketing content calendars
  • Create social media messages with focus on achieving client goals
  • Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
  • Implement paid social campaigns (Facebook Ads, promoted posts, etc.)
  • Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
  • Assist in social media reporting and optimization
  • Contribute to agency’s digital knowledge-base and thought leadership
  • Participate in client discovery and brainstorming sessions


  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Demonstration of effective social media engagement
  • Passion for learning about new industries
  • Knowledge of MS Office, social media platforms, Google AdWords
  • Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media content management platform
  • Great communication skills and ability to multi-task
  • Good time-management – deadline oriented
  • Great personality, people skills and internet savvy
  • Online customer service skills
