GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Social Media Coordinator’s primary function is to manage CareerSource Central Florida’s (CSCF) social media platforms and implement social media marketing plans using multiple channels, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube to drive brand awareness and lead generation. Creates written, video, visual and interactive content that enhances CSCF’s brand. Content should inspire Central Florida youth and adults to elevate their income, train for new career fields, and overcome employment barriers through CareerSource Central Florida’s programs and services – available at no cost through state and federal funding.

Manages and monitors multiple social media platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok, and YouTube. Engages and responds to consumers and businesses on social media through comments, messages, etc. to create meaningful conversation and actions.
Implements social media marketing plans to align with overall marketing strategies. Leverages organic content and paid advertising. Creates and manages social media content calendar. Generates, edits, schedules and publishes content using Sprout Social. Moderate all user-generated content in line with the policy for each market.
Creates innovative and effective branded content for social media channels to achieve corporate goals and objectives, encompassing written, video, visual and interactive formats. Aligns content and messaging with brand and social media marketing strategy to ensure consistency and brand tone of voice across all platforms. Brainstorms and tests new content ideas.
Collaborates with Marketing and Communications team members to identify additional content opportunities. Travels to off-site locations to take photos or record video content for social media, such as career center events, hiring events, customer testimonials, etc.
Leads launch of company presence on Snapchat, TikTok and YouTube to generate awareness of our services to new audiences while driving lead generation. Identifies and executes tactics to grow existing and emerging audiences.
Assists with identifying, developing and coordinating relationships and sponsorship opportunities with social media influencers in support of CSCF’s mission.
Track, report and analyze KPI’s for all of CSCF’s social media platforms. Use social listening tools to actively monitor the sentiment and perception of our brand in addition to what type of content our audiences are most responsive to. Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information.
Follows and stays up to on trends and the latest digital technologies. Researches competitors, industry trends and audiences to inform decisions across social media platforms.
Manages and monitors reviews on Google Business, Bing, Yelp, and other similar platforms. Responds to reviews and engages customers by answering questions, providing information or customer service.

Supervision Received – Work is performed under supervision with some latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an *accredited institution in marketing, graphic design or related field, supplemented by 1-2 years of experience in social media content creation and management. Proven experience managing and growing social media accounts.
Associates Degree or equivalent coursework from an accredited institution in a related field combined with at least (4) years related experience.
Must be able to provide verification of the legal right to operate a vehicle in the State of Florida (Driver’s License, documentation of personal auto insurance, etc.). Must fulfill all requirements of the CareerSource Central Florida Vehicle Safety Program and have reliable transportation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with Adobe Creative suite and Canva or similar program and video creation and editing. Experience with Sprout Social or similar social media management platform.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Position requires the experience, sensitivity, and confidence to represent CareerSource Central Florida, as well as creative talent and practical skill
Proficient in social media platforms and advertising, including knowledge of principles and best practices
High level of English grammar and usage; working knowledge of AP style guide; and standard computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to use Canva, Adobe Creative suite or other programs to create content
Passion for creativity and crafting engaging content
Skilled in platform analytics and collecting learnings from key data
Excellent research skills and ability to identify social media and industry trends
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, energetic, and highly organized
Establishes high standards of excellence, honesty, integrity and professionalism.
Time management skills and an ability to meet deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English
