Public Relations Representative

VISIT FLORIDA, the official tourism marketing corporation for the State of Florida, seeks a high energy public relations professional to join their public relations team. Must be outgoing, a multi-tasker and detailed oriented with the ability to execute projects semi-independently. Experience with, and an interest in, social media marketing is a plus.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have three-plus years of public relations experience managing consumer, travel trade and/or business PR campaigns, including developing strategy, creating plans, writing, pitching, working with influencers and collaborating with an integrated marketing team. Must be able to manage multiple projects and an agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the role of content, social media, influencer marketing and media relations in a dynamic organization. A minimum of a four-year degree in communications, journalism, marketing or related field, and three years of public relations experience, is required. Experience in the travel and tourism industry, and fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese are bonuses. Salary is commensurate with experience. Travel up to 20%. This position is based in Tallahassee, FL.
