Description

The Leon County Property Appraiser’s Office is seeking a student in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Mass Media, Graphic Design, or related fields, to fill a part-time position in our Public Relations Department. This is an excellent paid work experience and training ground that offers $15 per hour for 20 hours per week during Fall and Spring Semesters and 35 hours per week during the Summer Semester.

The selected candidate(s) will assist with developing and executing strategic outreach and community education initiatives for the Leon County Property Appraiser’s Office. This will include social media content creation, video creation, graphic design, print media, and other related duties. Candidates will work beside professionals in the Public Relations Department to support public speaking engagements, demonstrations, and training for community organizations and neighborhood interest groups.

Qualifications

Preference will be given to students with relevant experience or aptitude and demonstrated interest in public service.
