Public Relations Assistant

Company: SalterMitchellPR

URL: saltermitchellpr.com

Contact Person: Sarah Tyson

Application Deadline: November 20, 2016

Description

Nothing beats on-the-job training. Our paid internship program allows students in their junior or senior year of college, recent graduates and those pursuing a master’s degree, to hone their public relations skills in a real-world setting. While experiences vary depending on the talents and interests of selected candidates and the projects going on at the time, each intern will leave SalterMitchellPR with a portfolio of projects to demonstrate their abilities as they pursue additional internships and job opportunities.

The successful candidate can expect to develop skills in media monitoring and reporting, traditional media and influencer relations, multimedia content creation and online and traditional research. These skills will be used for projects like helping No Kid Hungry ensure more kids get breakfast at school, saving rhinos with the International Rhino Foundation, spreading the word about generous community grants from Bank of America and keeping Floridians connected with Verizon.

At SalterMitchellPR, we help good causes win and we’re looking for someone who asks thoughtful questions, understands the strategy behind decisions, and engages in developing tactics to ensure our clients get the best we have to offer.
