SalterMitchell PR is seeking a Public Relations and Marketing Account Executive to join our team to help good causes win. The chosen candidate will work alongside our team of specialists and senior counselors on the day-to-day administration of marketing and public relations initiatives for the agency’s corporate, nonprofit, government, and association clients. The work includes maintaining a high level of awareness on Florida-based issues, detail-oriented program and project management, and professional communication with key client contacts.
Top candidates will have a minimum of three years professional experience with communications research, campaign management, content development, media relations, and outreach coordination. In addition, the chosen candidate will be capable of performing marketing tasks such as media buying, copywriting, digital media planning and engagement, data analysis and reporting, and campaign management.
We’re looking for individuals who are self-starters, detailed-oriented, results-driven, creative, and fun. (NOTE: If you don’t love problem-solving, then our agency is not for you.)
As a Public Relations and Marketing Account Executive, you will help implement campaigns using paid, earned, shared and owned methods and your job responsibilities will include:
-Assisting in the coordination and executing of PR and Marketing campaigns.
-Generating story ideas and news angles.
-Drafting press materials.
-Media monitoring, data analysis and reporting.
-Undertaking industry research and Supporting senior members of staff.
-Maintaining the details of core account programs and updates via databases & trackers.
-Working closely with team members to keep account activity on track and moving forward.
-Supporting new business development.
-Completing internal administrative functions, such as daily timekeeping.
-Being flexible and available 24/7/365 for crisis situations, client support, social media and news monitoring, and special projects
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Business, Political Science or related field
-2-3 years of professional experience, agency experience is a plus
-Knowledge of AP Stylebook and media organizations (print, broadcast and digital)
-Superior writing skills
