Description

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services’ Office of Communications manages both proactive and reactive media relations, as well as key public awareness initiatives. The Office of Communications is seeking a Public Information Specialist who is highly motivated, detail oriented, and professional to assist with the daily responsibilities of the office. Ideally, the candidate has a public relations background with an interest in pursuing a career in public relations.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills;
• Strong interpersonal skills;
• The ability to multi-task; and
• At least one year of professional experience, preferably in the public relations field.
