Description

Primary job duties are focused on providing reactive and proactive media outreach regarding the Department of Children and Families issues. The Department is a high-profile agency, and media inquiries are addressed daily.
Serves as a Department spokesperson.
Develops and maintains relationships with reporters in Tallahassee and statewide (print, television, and radio).
Coordinates and manages internal, external communications and media.
Assists with the production and editing of written materials including but not limited to public service announcements, press releases, media advisories, editorial submissions, press statements, promotional materials, newsletters, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

1-2 years of media/communications experience.
