The Florida Department of Environmental Protection is the state’s lead agency for environmental management and stewardship of air, water and land resources. DEP’s press office is looking for two ambitious individuals for the summer that can work around 20 hours a week and possess strong writing skills and an enthusiastic personality for learning in this fast paced working environment. If you’re looking to expand your horizons in the communications field, this is a great opportunity for you. Interns’ responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following tasks:

•Writing, proofreading and editing a variety of written communication such as press releases, media advisories, communications plans and talking points
•Compiling daily media clips
•Assisting with social media outreach
•Developing fact sheets and graphics
