Chief Financial Officer Jeff Atwater’s Press Office is seeking self-motivated, engaging people who are interested in pursuing a career in communications, public relations or a related field. Our internship program offers students the opportunity to earn college credit and valuable hands-on experience while honing essential communication skills.

As team members, interns will be involved with the creation of a broad array of media and marketing materials, have oversight over a project from idea formation through implementation phases, interact with agency staff and statewide members of the media, and gain extensive editing and writing experience on a variety of internal and external projects.

The internship requires a minimum of one academic semester for 20-30 hours per week Monday through Friday. Specific scheduling details to be determined by intern supervisor.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Self-motivation, dependability, creativity;

Ability to start, manage and finish projects quickly and efficiently;

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
