Description
Primary Responsibilities:
• Contribute engaging (visual and written) content to the Corporation’s social media accounts, Intranet, internal monitors, website, newsletter, and presentations;
• Assist with initial phases of marketing collateral creation, such as identifying key pictures, concepts and content for email campaigns, newsletters and Executive Director reports;
• Proactively seek opportunities for Healthy Kids to receive positive recognition and coverage through various blogs, newsletters, and news stories;
• Maintain FHKC’s content calendar to ensure relevant events, initiatives and opportunities are capitalized on and Healthy Kids remains part of the ‘bigger picture;’
• Catalog promotional items and materials ordered for the last year and going forward;
• Assist, as needed, in the Corporation’s ‘Back to School’ campaign initiatives;
• Write or proofread hold messages, call center scripts, and other promotional and informational pieces geared toward education and retention of the Florida KidCare program;
• Pursue growth opportunities for FHKC’s social media avenues through cultivation of partnerships and mutual initiatives;
• Assist with planning and staffing community outreach and marketing events
• Maintain a record of, and prepare staff to attend speaking engagements and conferences, including registering for conference booths, preparing presentations, drafting talking points and arranging staff travel;
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Desired Skills / Prerequisites:
• Seeking a Degree in Communications, Marketing or English;
• Knowledge of AP style and basic marketing principles;
• Strong, creative written and verbal communication skills;
• Organization and management of multiple assignments and projects
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Outlook, and SharePoint;
• Assertiveness in making phone calls to clarify or obtain information;
• Ability to alter writing voice for multiple communications channels and purposes; and
• Technologically-savvy in terms of social media trends and innovative opportunities.
