Outreach Specialist
Description
We are seeking a full-time outreach specialist to join our team! The outreach specialist provides professional, technical and administrative support for Florida KidCare. This position is responsible for fostering and maintaining strategic partnerships to maximize brand awareness to ultimately lead to new enrollment and retention. The ideal candidate has strong interpersonal skills and enjoys public speaking and relationship building.
Salary Range: $50,000 to $55,000 annually (commensurate with education and/or experience).
Essential Job Functions:
- Act as primary point-of-contact for engaging community-based promotional partners statewide including healthcare providers, hospitals, schools, faith-based organizations, businesses, and other health, family and youth-centric organizations, with primary responsibility of evaluating partnerships and organizations for relationships with Florida KidCare/Florida Healthy Kids.
- Develop and coordinate programmatic implementation of established strategic partnerships including training and technical support, progress monitoring, and outcome reporting.
- Conduct research, development and implementation of new corporate and foundation partnerships including scope of work design, partnership incentives, and methods of tracking success and make recommendations for implementation.
- Perform contract management duties for sponsorship opportunities to promote Florida KidCare brand, including researching, negotiating, ensuring budget availability, proposing, overseeing the receipt of deliverables, monitoring ongoing performance, report review and approval and completing payment attestations.
- Research, propose, ensure budget availability and order promotional marketing materials to promote Florida KidCare brand.
- Serve as primary author of an annual competitively procured grant opportunity inviting new partnerships during the back-to-school season.
- Perform contract management duties for seasonal back-to-school grant winners, to include overseeing the receipt of deliverables, monitoring ongoing performance, report review and approval, as well as payment attestations.
- Perform community outreach activities with primary responsibility of selecting activities including, but not limited to, coordinating the fulfillment of requests for promotional materials and posting events on the Florida KidCare public calendar.
- Assume content creation duties for all partner needs, to include template development, content writing and editing, as well as scheduling and audience segmentation services.
- Develop and finalize graphic design projects in concert with the Agency of Record to support partnerships and/or aid the Corporation’s overall marketing and communications initiatives.
- Monitor news outlets and social media for brand mentions and produce a daily report of relevant, topical news clips for staff.
- Gain expert knowledge of the Florida KidCare application for use in customer interaction.
- Think strategically, innovate and proactively collaborate with all staff to advance organizational goals, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent education AND 2+ years of related experience in an office environment
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Experience with statewide issues and/or community advocacy
- Experience in the health care industry
Additional Eligibility Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Knowledge about building outreach programs and/or
- Strong interpersonal skills (1:1 and group settings)
- Proficient at public speaking
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading and verbal communication skills
