Outreach Coordinator

Description

The Outreach Coordinator is a member of the Labor Market Statistics team in the Division of Workforce Services. A critical responsibility of the Labor Market Statistics Bureau is to ensure partner organizations have access to quality labor market and economic information for policy development and decision making. This position will be responsible for determining customer needs and facilitating the bureau’s response through publications, presentations and other outreach activities.
•Coordinates with local and statewide workforce, economic development and education partners to determine training needs.
•Schedules and coordinates trainings and presentations while maintaining a calendar of all events.
•Prepares presentations and training materials, ensuring they are consistent and comprehensive.
•Coordinates and documents the activities of Labor Market Statistics (LMS) staff, including trainings, presentations, policy group meetings, and interagency workgroups.
• Ensures all training and presentation materials are reviewed by LMS leadership and DEO Communications prior to use.
•Conduct trainings and presentations with other members of the LMS team in a professional and effective manner.
•Coordinate internal training within LMS.
•Assist in the preparation of publications, monthly release material, and other written media materials.

Qualifications

PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO THOSE APPLICANTS THAT HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Economics, Statistics, Math, Political Science or related field.
•Work experience communicating technical information, such as statistics.
•Proficient in using PowerPoint.
•Proficient in using Adobe Photoshop.
•Work related public speaking experience.
