Exciting opportunity for individual to lead the marketing and communications efforts for CareerSource Capital Region.
This position will develop and execute Corporate Communications strategies that advance and protect the CareerSource Capital Region business objectives and corporate reputation. This position is responsible for creating news articles, press releases, Op-Eds, news advisories and all other external communications pieces as well as preparation of copy and layouts for advertisements, brochures, flyers, etc. In addition, this position is responsible for media management, radio and television commercials and the CareerSource Capital Region website and social media.

This position leads the development of corporate communication strategies; collaborates with the CareerSource Capital Region leadership team, system employees, and partner organizations to identify and execute initiatives that promote and protect the CareerSource Capital Region brand with identified internal and external stakeholders; develops and manages relationships with media outlets; ensures strong, consistent messaging across all communications; plans for and leads the external communication components of crisis management; serves as the CareerSource Capital Region point of contact for all media inquiries and responses; and with the assistance of the CEO and CFO, manages the corporate PR budget.

This position will support written communications and newsletters prepared for the Board of Directors; coordinate board documents and communications as needed; create and complete the Annual Report; create and compile newsletters and other internal communications through various mediums for system-wide communications of system direction, performance, etc.; serve as the brand champion for document control purposes; oversee all external use of the brand and logo; develop and implement all Marketing and Communications plans; manage general public inquiries made via the website, etc.

Starting salary range for this position is $15 – $18 per hour.


This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or related field and three years of public relations/corporate communications experience. MBA preferred. Must have demonstrated expertise in all aspects of communications profession including internal and external communications, social media, brand development, website maintenance, graphic design, corporate crisis management, photography, videography, and image editing software.
