Exciting full-time opportunity to support the marketing and communications efforts for CareerSource Capital Region. This position will work in conjunction with the CareerSource Capital Region leadership team to develop and execute corporate communications strategies that advance CareerSource Capital Region’s business objectives and protect its corporate reputation.

This position is responsible for media relationship management, creating press releases, fact sheets, flyers, marketing and event collateral, media advisories, media kits and all other external communications pieces. Responsible for preparation and publication of copy and layouts for advertisements, brochures, newsletters, flyers, event booklets, etc.

This position guides the development of corporate communication strategies; collaborates with the CareerSource Capital Region leadership team, system employees, and partner organizations to identify and execute CareerSource Capital Region brand initiatives with internal and external stakeholders; ensures strong, consistent messaging across all communications; plans for and leads the external communication components of crisis management; serves as the CareerSource Capital Region point of contact for all media inquiries and responses; and assists with the corporate communications budget.

This position will be instrumental in the creation of the organization’s annual report; compiling and distribution of career seeker and employer success stories; creation and distribution of newsletters and other internal communications through various mediums for system-wide communications of system direction, performance, etc.; develops and manages vendor relationships for paid and unpaid advertising; ensures the appropriate document control measures are taken for all communications produced; ensures appropriate use of the brand and logo at all times; development and implementation of all Marketing and Communications plans; and ensures website development and maintenance.

Starting Salary $35k – $37k/year + full benefits package.


This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field; three or more years of relevant professional experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills; social media experience; ability to produce AP style press releases and media advisories; ability to photograph, video and edit digital images of corporate events; ability to create and manage website content; and knowledge of graphic design required. Proficiency in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite or Creative Cloud helpful. Previous experience creating websites with ExpressionEngine or WordPress content management system software preferred. Experience in creating and distributing newsletters via an email service provider (ESP), such as MailChimp or Constant Contact preferred.
