Marketing & Communications Manager (Consumer Products)

Industry: Importing, distribution, and E-commerce sales of home décor products.
Location: Fully-remote position, company headquarters in Tallahassee, FL.
Schedule: Generally 8:00am – 5:00pm Eastern Time with some flexibility.
Compensation: Annual salary commensurate with experience + a full benefit package (salary will be discussed very early in the application process).

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Three (3)+ years of experience in marketing with a consumer product brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a marketing related field.
  • Strong experience with social media and email campaigns.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong experience with a website CMS (Content Management System).
  • Capable of hands-on execution, rather than accustomed to delegating tasks.

About the Position
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion for storytelling and content creation as well as a track record of driving successful marketing campaigns. As a Marketing Manager, you will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to promote our products, increase brand awareness, and drive customer engagement. Although this particular position is not a management role and does not have any direct reports, there would be advancement opportunities as the company continues to grow.

Essential Tasks of the Marketing and Communications Manager:

1) Content Creation and Management:

  • Collaborate with the in-house Graphic Designer to create engaging marketing materials for various platforms such as social media, websites, email campaigns and print literature.
  • Glean insights from the product design team and craft a compelling story shared through digital media.
  • Utilize emerging technologies such as AI to drive content creation efficiency.
  • Manage content calendars, ensuring alignment with product launches and sales promotions.

2) Digital Media:

  • Collaborate with internal E-commerce team on company’s website content to ensure brand alignment. Provide updated assets such as images, videos or copy.
  • Manage social media channels, including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop and track the results of email campaigns.
  • Support the development and execution of online campaigns by optimizing SEO and SEM.

3) Campaign Development & Execution:

  • Lead the development and implementation of marketing plans to support product launches, promotions, and campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and printed materials.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, using data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize marketing strategies.

4) Market Research:

  • Conduct market research to identify consumer insights, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform brand strategy and product development.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations summarizing marketing activities, results, and recommendations.

5) Brand Alignment:

  • Assist with development of the brand standards and design language.
  • Ensure that all projects align with the brand identity, guidelines, and objectives.

6) Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product design, e-commerce and sales to ensure brand consistency in go-to-market strategies and alignment with business objectives.

7) Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
  • Organize files, assets, and documentation for each project to ensure efficient workflow and easy accessibility.
