Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency is seeking a creative individual available to work 20 hours per week as a Marketing & Communications Assistant. This paid, part-time position is ideal for students looking for long-term employment (more than one semester). The individual will report to the Public Information Officer for the Agency, who directs communications for the Blueprint Intergovernmental Agency’s infrastructure program, and the Tallahassee-Leon County Office of Economic Vitality, the community’s economic development agency. The successful candidate will assist with written, printed and online communications and marketing materials, and provide support to the Agency’s community engagement activities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Create original, style-specific content for use in press releases, media advisories, social media, talking points, fact sheets, reports, newsletters, and websites
• Provide assistance with the Agency’s web and social media presence and activities
• Provide assistance with presentations and e-marketing campaigns
• Research and planning assistance for communications and marketing projects
• Assist with preparations for Committee and stakeholder meetings and other meetings as necessary
• Assist with general office tasks (phone support, copying, organizing digital photos, etc.) as needed

Qualifications

Must be a proficient writer with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
• Must have experience in social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
• Must have experience with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with minimal direction
• Must demonstrate the ability to work within a team
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite a plus
