VISIT FLORIDA, the official tourism marketing corporation for the State of Florida, is seeking a highly organized and energetic individual to join their International Marketing & Trade team to oversee trade shows, sales missions, receptions and tour operator trainings in the South American market. Preference will be given to those applicants who are fluent in Portuguese and/or Spanish.
The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5+ years of work experience in the following area(s):
• Oversee in-market agencies in Brazil and Mexico to ensure project deliverables are being completed within budget and on time
• Plan all aspects of a trade show and/or major conference, including overseeing stand builds, scheduling appointments, updating invested parties and conducting appointments on the trade show floor
• Plan and execute sales missions, receptions and/or roadshows for top trade partners, including airlines, tour operators, meeting planners and travel agencies
• Develop relationships with b2b clients, Destination Marketing Organizations and Attractions partners
• Become the in-house expert on the Brazilian and Mexican markets by staying abreast of political, economic and travel trends in each country
• Build and maintain knowledge of the Florida tourism product, with the ability to speak knowledgeably about major attractions, airlift into the state, new hotel openings, etc.

Qualifications

The candidate must have:
• A 4-year degree from an accredited university
• A valid driver’s license
• A passport
• Top notch communications skills, including written, verbal and presentations in front of a large audience
• Excellent time management skills
• A team player mentality
• A positive attitude
