F/T professional sought to develop, coordinate and direct all marketing, PR and membership activities for the Tallahassee Museum and enhance and maintain its brand image. 3-5 years of successful experience required. Must be a strong manager, highly motivated self-starter with a positive image/attitude, be highly organized and able to work well individually as well as within a team environment. Knowledge and use of donor/membership database systems, email and social media tools and word press preferred. Four year degree preferred.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must have strong writing and oral communication skills. Must also be able to communicate with a wide level and variety of people.

Fifth year college or university program certificate; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge of computers, ability to use a personal computer and experience with standard business and fund raising software; experience with multiline phone systems; ability to maintain and update website content and utilize email and social media tools. Basic knowledge of HTML and Word Press programming is preferred.

Comfortable and adept at interviews/appearances with print and electronic media as well as speaking to large and diverse audiences.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
