Description

The Manager of Education & Events is the primary coordinator of member-facing events and programs of the Florida Pharmacy Association (FPA). They will be instrumental in the leading successful execution of events and other member programs. In addition, they oversee components of the day-to-day internal operations of the association while assisting the CEO with other administrative duties, and to:

Develop genuine relationships with FPA members to help advance the mission of FPA.

Oversee administrative duties, including timelines, budgets, goals, and objectives of FPA events and programs as well as day-to-day internal operational needs of the FPA office.

Coordinate and execute FPA member engagement opportunities, including SE Gathering, FPA Annual Convention, Virtual CEs, Pharmacy Day on the Hill, Board Retreat, and on-site events at the FPA offices.

Negotiate contracts with conference facilities and serve as primary FPA staff contact with conference facilities in preparation and on-site management.

Collaborate with the Manager of Communications & Digital Engagement to develop marketing materials for FPA events and other new service offerings.

Coordinate conference registration with FPA CPA to execute registration activities prior to, during, and following FPA conferences.

Collaborate with professional staff in maintaining relationships with vendors and sponsors for the success of FPA.

Provide activity coordination, project management, and professional, accurate administrative support to all professional staff upon request.

Build all the FPA educational offerings through the FPA learning management system

Work with the Manager of Communications & Digital Engagement to develop materials for IPA events, member opportunities & membership engagement (onboarding, recruitment, retention, ongoing).

Manage continuing education programs, including speaker outreach, learning objectives, and ACPE-required documents.

Qualifications

Ability to exercise initiative, solve problems creatively, make independent decisions, and prioritize responsibilities. Naturally curious. Proficient in Microsoft Office (word processing, spreadsheet, database, email); excellent written and verbal communication; experience with data and trends to drive decisions; attention to detail, forward-focused, and solution-driven. Project management and meeting planning experience are strongly preferred. CMP designation is not required yet encouraged.
