Voices for Florida is seeking a 30 hour per week communications and marketing professional to educate a wide variety of stakeholder audiences about child sex trafficking and the Open Doors Outreach Network, Florida’s leading network of 24/7 care and treatment for child and young adult survivors of sex trafficking. The position develops and distributes a multitude of collateral materials through a variety of digital, social and traditional media channels to aid in the identification and recovery of victims and to enhance the day-to day work supporting survivors.

Location: Tallahassee

Work Environment: In Tallahassee office

Compensation: Based on Experience and Qualifications, starting at $24.50 per hour up to a maximum of $29.23 per hour with Master’s degree and at least 8 years experience, including social services. Familiarity with human trafficking, a plus.

Job Responsibilities
• Maintains and updates website with current information regarding Open Doors and sex trafficking education, including the availability of services to increase referrals using WordPress (Elementor)
•Creates graphics and postings for social media platforms to educate communities on sex trafficking and communicate the availability of services, including social media platform management
• Writes and designs handouts and other resources tailored to specific target audiences to be utilized by Open Doors providers and Voices for Florida staff with a wide variety of target audiences
•Develops quarterly and annual reports that include demographic information of survivors served, success stories and other data to inform community leaders about the impact of Open Doors
•Supports the Director of Training and Staff Development in creating graphics for trainings and webinars which include subject matters experts to educate direct stakeholder sectors such as legal, medical, education, law enforcement, etc. and the general public on various elements of trafficking
•Organizes Trafficking Awareness Month social media campaign to enhance community knowledge about trafficking
•Edits, designs and distributes e-newsletters to Open Doors Team Members and a variety of external audiences on an as needed basis.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or Marketing is required and 2- 3 years of relevant experience, ideally in a not-for-profit or social services setting. Knowledge of commercial sexual exploitation of children and young adults is preferred. Excellent writing and graphic design skills are required, as well as experience with managing organizational social media platforms, Constant Contact, Canva, Jotform, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Word Press (Elementor preferred) and video editing software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is a must. Experience providing technical support for Zoom webinars is a plus.

Since Voices for Florida is an affiliate organization of American Children’s Campaign, the ideal candidate will have experience in understanding how organizational communications works across an entire affiliated agency structure.
