The Department of Management Services (DMS) is a customer-oriented agency responsible for managing various business-related functions throughout state government. Under the direction of Florida Governor Rick Scott and the executive leadership team at DMS, the agency oversees the real estate, procurement, human resources, group insurance, retirement, telecommunications, private prisons, and fleet and federal property assistance programs utilized throughout Florida’s state government. The Department of Management Services is relied upon to establish, maintain and improve the business processes used by state employees in doing their jobs to serve our Floridians. Department of Management Services staff facilitates the delivery of these programs and services and provides tools and training to bolster the efficiency and effectiveness of the state’s workforce. Qualifications

Position Responsibilities:

The Office of Supplier Diversity is seeking a Marketing Designer to handle the following:

Serve as the primary graphics and marketing designer for all Office of Supplier Diversity educational materials, which may include annual reports, info graphics, brochures, displays, etc.

The Marketing Designer will also serve as the coordinator for the Office of Supplier Diversity’s social media presence, including generating, researching, creating and updating target market lists, and tracking social media in coordination with the Office of Communications.

In addition, the Marketing Designer will assist in the development, planning, coordination and execution of the Office of Supplier Diversity’s regional Supplier Diversity Exchanges, including media outreach, developing and maintaining media lists and social media groups, provide onsite support as needed and handle post event evaluations.

Development of training manuals, multimedia visual aids, and other educational materials may also be required in this capacity.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • Communication Skills.

  • Time Management.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft office products.
  • Experience in graphic design, layout and print production.
  • Proficient in creating and maintaining lists for outreach purposes.
  • Experience in social media marketing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of five years of experience in developing and designing graphics and marketing materials for an agency or organization using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency in social media management.
  • Experience in event management and coordination.
  • Strong communication skills necessary.
