Graphic Artist (Media Specialist, #53629)

Description

Responsible for the design, layout and production of the MagLab’s publications and collateral materials (brochures, posters, signage, informational displays); and for creation of illustrations and graphics for print and Web. Assists with design of the NHMFL annual reports. Oversees printing needs for lab to include developing PowerPoint templates for presentations, troubleshooting printing problems, fixing corrupt images, etc. Creates graphics, illustrations and photo illustrations, infographics, and edits photos for print and online publication. Coordinates and monitors printing process with printer(s) to ensure quality control.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree and two years appropriate experience; or a high school education and appropriate education and/or experience equal to six years professional related experience. Experience with magazine design, layout and production; knowledge of the elements of design; experience with Adobe creative software (In-Design, Illustrator, Photoshop); knowledge of the print process. Experience with computer applications and basic computer functions. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
