Entertainment On-air reporter (Interns)

Description

AM Break and Live In Tallahassee! are looking for a new batch of reporting interns! We are taking on only three new faces so hurry up! To be considered, you must know how to shoot and edit video. Each reporter will be expected to turn two stories a week for Live In Tallahassee and/or AM Break!
YES! You will be on air! (And if you’re only interested in shooting and editing, still contact Ann!)
These are fun shows that put the spotlight on the Big Bend and all it has to offer from the many great events, to wonderful non-profits and businesses as well!

Qualifications

The successful candidate will be an enterprising entertainment newshound! Candidates should have experience in generating their own stories and have an engaging on-camera presence.

Responsibilities:
Cover entertainment stories and red carpet events, non-profit organizations, businesses for recorded programs and during live social media broadcasts, either in studio or on location in a professional and fun manner that engages audiences.
Collaborate with producers to generate interesting show topics that engage the interests of our viewers.
Participate in information gathering, writing scripts, and lead ins.
Edit or supervise the editing of video used for the shows.
Promote AM Break Live In Tallahassee in community, and station events and activities as requested by the producers.

Requirements:
Ability to shoot video.
Ability to edit video.
Demonstrate excellent story telling skills.
Excellent written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of and comfortable discussing entertainment and community events as well as non-profits and businesses.
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment with tight deadlines.

Prior, related on-camera work in broadcast or web video production preferred by not required.
Minimum 1 year previous on-air reporting experience preferred.
Working toward a Communications or Journalism degree.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be willing to work in Tallahassee, Florida.
Must be willing to work set hours and some weekend hours.
Must be 18 years or older.
