Position Summary
UWBB’s Donor Engagement Managers are critical to the organization raising the funds that make fulfilling our mission possible. They manage a portfolio of campaign accounts, are responsible for meeting goals, and work collaboratively across the organization. Our Donor Engagement Managers are excited by challenges and working in a fast-paced environment. They are creative and help build lasting donor relationships. They are detail-oriented in the planning and execution of fundraising activities. They serve as public representatives of the organization.
Qualifications
Essential Duties/Key Areas of Responsibility
- Ensure campaign fundraising goals are achieved
- Foster positive relationships with UWBB corporate partners throughout the year, including oversight of assigned annual UW workplace campaigns and enhancement of their community footprint
- Work with Employee Campaign Coordinators to plan and execute successful workplace campaigns, as well as year-round engagement strategies
- Help identify and pursue new opportunities for revenue growth, as well as expansion within existing partnerships
- Provide input toward development of annual campaign strategy and theme
- Manage, monitor, and report on the progress and results for all managed accounts
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the database for managed accounts
- Effectively communicate UWBB’s community impact ROI messaging to current and prospective donors
- Participate as a member of the Philanthropy team in departmental and office meetings and activities
- Maintain confidentiality when dealing with all donor and proprietary information
- Represent UWBB in a positive manner at all times, including working with staff, volunteers, and program partners
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Fundraising or sales experience a plus
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with donors and volunteers
- Comfortable requesting financial support through various communication platforms
- Have a passion for mission-based work
- Strong communication skills
- Enjoy making presentations to groups large and small
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Creative thinker
- Ability to work in a cross-functional, fast-paced work environment
- Excellence in time management, follow through and organizational skills
- Work well both independently and as a member of a team
- Display UWBB organizational values of Leadership, Accountability, Integrity, Collaboration, Focus
and Respect in everyday tasks
Work Environment:
- Workplace culture that is family-oriented and supports teamwork and collaboration
- Professional office setting
- Some early morning, evening or weekend hours during peak times
- Occasional travel within UWBB neighboring county footprint
- Regular use of standard office equipment (computer, telephone, copier, etc.)
- Physical demands: Sitting or standing for extended periods of time, bending, occasional lifting, regularly moving throughout the building between floors
- Access to reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid driver’s license required
