Description

Red Hills Strategies is a Tallahassee-based firm focused on influencing public policy through communications and media relations. We are looking to increase our capacity with the addition of a director role, a senior level position designed for seasoned communications professionals with an interest in politics and government.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage various client projects with support from the Red Hills Team.
• Develop and implement strategic communications plans involving creating key messages, materials development, coalition building and grassroots engagement.
• Facilitate and create press releases, media advisories, opinion pieces, stakeholder letters, social slates, talking points, newsletters and other communications materials.
• Plan and executive client events as needed, including but not limited to press conferences, roundtables or Capitol events.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ten years’ experience in public affairs, government relations and/or media relations.
• Ability to work in office, five days a week. Comfortable with after hours and weekend work depending on client demands.
• Flexibility for limited travel as needed.
• Salary is commensurate with experience.
