Responsibilities
This position is responsible for planning, executing, reviewing and evaluating all web-based, electronic, and social media communications.

Coordinates, manages, and produces social media platforms for the College of Social Work, FICW, and other departments and centers/institutes including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.
Researches new trends and technologies in social media engagement to stay up to date on trends and best practices.
Creates video programming, design, editing, and production which includes photography, graphics, and slideshows for digital platforms
Coordinates College photography and video needs including but not limited to events, headshots, marketing and graphic needs.
Promotes monthly statistical reports on social media platforms as well as monthly recommendations and strategies to increase participation on each platform for the site.
Works with advancement team to integrate social media and other marketing activities for cohesive strategy plan.
Provides support for college internal and external marketing materials to include photography, videos, brochures, newsletters, ads, eblast, invitations, and all forms of marketing.

Preferred
Experience in communications and social media management.
Knowledge of and competency in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe Suite), basic videography knowledge (editing and video processing), and search engine optimization.
Detail oriented knowledge of text editing and writing skills.
Knowledge of current technology and trend, including social media outcome measurement and reporting.

Anticipated Salary Range
Low to mid $40,000s commensurate with education and experience.

Pay Plan
This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Soft Money Funded Position
This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University. This is not a time limited position.

Schedule
8:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday with the possibility of working nights and weekends for special events.

Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.

Qualifications

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of work experience or a high school diploma / equivalent and six years of experience (Note: or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)
Knowledge of social media strategy and execution, measurement, and content creation.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Ability to meet project deadlines.
Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.
Knowledge of applicable computer and design software and basic computer competency.
